Antimicrobial Resistance: Rethinking our Response to Overcome the Crisis
On 28th May, Biovitae and Health Innovation Exchange will host the Session “Antimicrobial Resistance: Rethinking our Response to Overcome the Crisis” during the 77th World Health Assembly side event “Scaling Innovations at the Intersection of Climate Health and Equity” organized by Health Innovation Exchange in Geneva.
Date and Time: Tuesday, May 28 | 12:00 – 14:00
Location: Campus Biotech, Atelier des Saveurs Geneva
Hosted at Campus Biotech in Geneva, the session will delve into the critical nexus of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), climate health, and equity. Through enlightening discourses of sectors experts, the event aims to reshape the narrative surrounding antimicrobial resistance. Antibiotics have long been hailed as medical marvels, revolutionizing the treatment of infections. However, the rise of drug-resistant pathogens jeopardizes our ability to combat infections, impacting human and animal health, agriculture, and food security.
Against the backdrop of a crisis in antibiotic development and access, this session aims at introducing innovative approaches in tackling AMR.
