Biovitae multi-wavelengths LED no UV microbicide technology is protected by patents already granted in the world’s major countries and scientifically tested in independent laboratories with peer-review publication.

Biovitae technology is integrated in a special LED that can replace normal LEDs

Biovitae can be integrated into standard l lighting fixtures, i.e. with the sanitation and lighting functions fully integrated, and into other solutions not strictly related to the lighting function. The particularity of the Biovitae technology and the wide range of LEDs produced based on its patent allow it to be integrated and used even with only a sanitising function, from household appliances to means of transport, from small containers to portable devices. The Biovitae LED does not require any modifications to the technologies currently in use, and therefore allows for rapid scale-up. Biovitae products are effective on Gram+ and Gram- bacteria, viruses, spores, moulds and fungi. Customised products can also be developed on the basis of specific projects.

The light that protects

Biovitae technology is based on a specific patented combination of frequencies in the 400-420nm blue-violet region that activates a photodynamic inactivation process that creates irreversible oxidative damage to the cell membrane of all microorganisms, eliminating them permanently. Biovitae patented wavelengths are the only ones able to effectively penetrate the biofilm, a substance that is extremely resistant to traditional antimicrobials that promotes the development of antimicrobial resistance and kill the bacteria within.
